5 MONTHS WITH ARTHUR

January 21, 2019
How did we get here already?! Not only is it 2019, but I can't believe it has been 5 months since little Arthur Bear impatiently rushed into our little family! We have really loved watching his little personality develop - he is patient (with Henry and this tired Mama who sometimes has to take care of big brother first), very observant, loves to smile (but doesn't give them away willy-nilly - mostly saved for Henry and Daddy), wants to party alllll night and apparently loves some good pillow talk, and he is definitely a snacker - not a big eater.

Also, this kid doesn't have a sweet tooth (you sure he's mine?!). Since he isn't overly interested in his bottles, we've been trying to introduce some purees to see if that helps his appetite. Where Henry definitely takes after me and loves sweet foods like mango, bananas and coconut, and apples, Arthur 100% is taking after his Daddy - all about the veggies. His current favorites are Carrots, Parsnips, Butternut Squash, and Sweet Potatoes - guess we have a root vegetable fan!

Arthur also is taking after his Daddy in a different way...I'm going to have to admit it sometime. We have another Ginger in the family! Arthur's hair definitely has a little red tinge to it, so I guess that means when we have a beach vacation as a family (whenever that may be!), Daddy and Arthur will have to sit in the shade so that Henry and I can run around in the sun!

We love you little boy!

HE HAS A NAME

September 11, 2018
Well...it was about time! Im so embarrassed that it took us (i.e. ME) about 3 weeks to pick a name for our little boy! But he finally has a name and it's legal and official and there is no going back now...well I guess we could still legally change it...Just kidding!

Introducing Arthur Kenneth Lyle Brown! We went back and forth SO many times trying to pick a name, we just really struggled to agree on ANY boy names this time around. (To be honest, Jake didn't really love Henry, but compromised when I said he could use the nickname Harry for him when he is older.)

We both liked the name Archie, but we are both of the feeling that the name on the birth certificate should be a traditional/proper name. I know that Archie is normally a nickname for Archer or Archibald - but I just couldn't use either of those for this little guy! After some research, I saw that someone used Archie as a nickname for Arthur, which stuck! As for the middle names, Kenneth was my Grandpa on my mom's side who I was really close with, and Lyle is my Dad's middle name. And there you go, little man! You have a name!
