It was for sure a shock to both of us - but we are definitely excited/nervous/anxious about this new little one that will be joining our family at the end of August. We just like to think that we are such fun parents, so this little one decided not to wait to join us!
My official due date is August 23rd, so that will give Henry and #2 about 17-and-a-half months between them. It will be a close gap (as people keep reminding me!), but everyone that I have spoken to with kids in a close gap have said that while the first couple of years are tough, they become the best of friends and that it is worth it. Hopefully Henry agrees when his little sister/brother arrives!!
This pregnancy has definitely been much harder so far than Henry's was - I have been 100% more sick than I was with Henry. With Henry, I just felt nauseous all the time, but I was never actually sick. This time around I have actually had to get anti-nausea medication from the doctor, so I'm secretly hoping that the contrast between the two means we are having a little girl - I'm already out numbered!!
