WHO DOESN'T LOVE FIREWORKS?!

Last night we took the boys over to Leeds Castle to watch their annual firework show. November 5th is Bonfire Night here in England, so around this time of year there are tons of firework shows across the country. Bonfire Night celebrates the foiling of Guy Fawkes' plan to blow-up Parliament.

We hacked the fireworks a little bit...instead of paying to go and sit on the castle grounds, we instead parked a little ways away and walked through some of the local fields to watch the fireworks from one of the hilltops.

I love doing this because we have plenty of space to stretch out and you get a great vantage point. Also, as much as I love the "feeling" of fireworks, they can be pretty loud. And since Henry and Arthur had never seen fireworks before, not being right underneath them (as much as I would have liked to be!) was great because they weren't quite as loud.

Henry wasn't really sure what to make of them - he went back and forth between "No." and "WOW!"/ "Pretty!" I think overall he liked them...Arthur slept through the whole thing!
