NOTHING LIKE A SUNNY LONDON

June 21, 2016
Well yesterday started out pretty sadly - I looked out the window and just saw gloomy, gray rain. For the day before summer, this looked very not summer like. All throughout the day, the windows in our office looked like someone was just pouring water down them!

Around lunchtime I had to trek over to the West End for some excel training (super fun way to spend the afternoon), and I still had to battle the rain.

But then when I cam out of the training -- SUN! The rain was gone, the sun was shining, along with a pleasant 72 degrees. I decided to walk all the way to the station through the Royal Parks - Green Park and Saint James' Park.

This afternoon reminded me just how great London in the summer could be! I even decided to celebrate the start of summer with a soft serve from one of the little stands in the park. The Brits call these types of cones a "99" because they used to cost 99p...but somehow they now coast £2...quite a price hike! But definitely worth it on a day like this!!
